Second youth band practice
We had the second youth band practice tonight, and compared to where we were last time, it's sounding great! We had another guitarist come, and a bassist. Out of the four songs we're doing - Better than life, Blessed be your name, Shine for you and From the inside out, we practiced all but shine for you. Below are the photos...

i'm gald the practise went well, and i hope it's as good as it sounds, and is Jordan better now?
Yeah, she's fine now. It was nice of you to ask
Well done Chris - you are doing a great job with the band. We have damp and gloomy weather in Crewe, so keep the bright and cheerful news coming this way.
Thanksgiving today and everyone is really exited. We're now staying with another family who have 2 gorgeous little boys aged 2 & 3 so it's very loud and lively here. Takes me back a few years and makes me feel at home.
We just had to do more shopping yesterday. Life's getting really hard here now!!!
It all seems really exciting over there with the band, thanksgiving and the prison visit! Shame about the shopping though, life can be very hard mum, you just have to cope with it.
Wish I was there to hear the band play. Say hello to the drummer!
who is the dummer?
i know it's connie in the worship band but which person out of the youth is playing drums?
Joshua and Preston are so cute!! have they shown you all their toys yet?

Chris, all these tried and tested new skills to bring back to Crewe, well done keep up the good work. See you soon - Sandy
Good to hear from you Sandy!
Jacob's doing the drumming, he's pretty good! And yeah, Joshua and Preston showed me every one of their toys. One by one...
did you learn about all the different dinosaurs? haha!! they're so lively!!

Steve, Alex, and Tom,
Please hurry up and get "our" room done. We think we will move back to Crewe. Chris, Mandy, and Pat are eating us out of house and home. You should have seen the 20 pound (1 plus stones) turkey they devoured. Mandy and Pat had to walk a mile in high heel shoes to digest it. Help!!! No they really are a joy to have around. We think we'll keep them here. After all, who will iron all my linens and vacuum (hoover) my floors when they're gone? --Mother Mary
Yes mary we english can be so greedy! Love how you put the word hoover in inverted commas. we do actually say vacuum aswell, did you know that? You learn something new everyday...
Has anyone noticed how quiet Chris has gone since last Saturday? Was it the day he spent with Bobby Joe, or is it the arrival of his mother? The truth is out there...
Mandy and Pat - enjoy your last few days at GC. Give everyone at church a big hug from us.
i took a new look on life after the day with bob... but i guess im quieter now mum and pathave come, because I can't get a word in edgeways!
I'll get some more posts on here asap though, we're living at Amber and Kenneth Ward's house at the moment, and with Joshua and Preston around, there isn't really time to do anything apart from play with them!
What a lovely family the Wards are, Joshua and Preston are so cute, i just want to bring them home. I may hang on a while and bring the new baby home too! Everyone has made us feel so welcome and loved, you know what i am like Kat, Charlee Alex and Tom i just wanna cry at everything. We are going to a big church tonight in Charlotte (about 80 miles away), so that will be an experience. Dougs sister goes there and says it has about 3000 attending. Wonder what would happen if that many came into North Street!!
Say hi to everyone in Y Zone, tell them i miss them all and can't wait to see them.
Did you know we went shopping with Chris yesterday (Friday), we left the house at 6.30AM and returned and 8.15PM yes, nearly 14 hours and it was all at Chris's suggestion. So girls if you ever need a shopping partner - Chris is your man!!! :o)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day on Thursday with Mary, Doug and all their extended family. We couldn't have been made more welcome. We had lunch at the Church. Plenty of turkey and all the trimmings. Very much like our Christmas really but without the presents.
Then we all went back to the Parsonage. Pat and I walked back as the weather was so lovely and too good to miss. By the time we got back several of the men were asleep - again much like Christmas day at home after lunch!!!
Later we lit a camp fire and cooked marsh mallows and other yummy things. I was invited into the hot tub by Christian but declined!!!
Yesterday we shopped for about 11 hours - seriously. They have lots of sales on here which is the norm after Thanksgiving. We got lots of bargains. Just don't know how we're gonna get it all home.
The weather is still gorgeous but has turned quite cold now.
We're off to a church in Charlotte this evening for a Saturday service. The church is apparently huge with about 3000 members. I'm told Charlotte is about 100 miles away. So not far in the back of a truck. Does anyone remember the Beverley Hillbillies?????
If I remember right in the Beverly Hillbillies the one who went in the back of the truck was Grannie and she sat on a rocking chair. The similarities are just too good to be true!
next time i go shopping chris is coming with me!!! i can't believe he suggested it but then again he said new look was trashy and i can spend a lot of time in there so maybe not but i could keep him in there for ages to get back at him hmmm.....
your so lucky to go to all the sales... could you buy anything for 16p?? haha that's all i have =[
sounds like you had a great thanksgiving!! i wish we had that a good excuse to eat lots!!! haha!!
see you soon pat and mandy!!! we miss you and i'll tell everyone in y zone that you say hi coz i think i'm the only 1 who's read this lol!! o and you'll be glad to hear kyle is really enjoying it and is still coming =]
