The British Invasion

I woke up this morning to my mum and pat in my bedroom! I don't know what it is about those two, but I travel 3000 miles, half way across the world, and they still manage to find me! A nice surprise though. I think for the next 10 days, things are gonna get interesting...

Yeah, I don't know what Pat's doing either...

I told you you were going to need lots of sleep and lots of coffee - and now you know why.

Make sure they behave themselves - I think they think they are 15 again and you know what sort of things they got up to then!

Has Justin let you drive his car yet? You need to work on him about coming over here to do a placement with me as part of his training.

Hehe, they woke me up again this morning. I'm just surprised they actually made it here!

And there's no need to work on him, he's totally fired up about coming over! I think he has some dates in mind actually...

Wow...i bet you weren't sure whether it was for real or just a bad dream when those two showed up!! (Hope you're behaving yourselves girls.) That vehicle they're both sitting in on one of the photos, is that where they kip down at night....or has someone been brave enough to let them stay in their home?

Isn't it Grays Chapel? or is it just me? Oh I don't know. Yes very nice to see you both and it's good to see pictures of the band. Can you video tape the service when you do it please? The songs that you are doing are amazing!
(By the way mum... the house is a tip.)
And your car has gone...
The shower is broke...
There's holes in the garden...
And we have no food in...
But everything else is brill!

Thanks kat! somebody's sticking up for me!

And I've let them use the inside of the truck, after hearing lots of complaints about me making them sleep in the open back of it. Shame really, there aren't really 'that' many bobcats and deadly spiders around this time of year.

And yeah, I'll try and video it, but there'll be a CD of the service anyway, so you'll be able to listen to it.

Yes we did make it here ok. As if we wouldn't. No problems at all apart from keys to cases being locked inside the cases, and then the case getting lost and making it on to the plane by the skin of it's teeth.!!But then I suppose this is all old news now as news seems to get around with you lot faster than it happens.
Anyway, after more than a few laughs dashing around airports, we finally arrived in one piece but very tired.
No we're not sleeping in a truck thank goodness. We're at the Parsonage until Wednesday and then at Amber Wards home. We have had the most fantastic welcome from everyone and North Carolina in the Fall has to be seen to be believed. It's beautiful, the colours of the trees are amazing.
Alex, fix the house quick !!!!!!!!
and yes David we are being good.

Glad to hear you got there ok, Pat & Mandy, hope you enjoy it over there. Miami's weather sure looks better than it did when I went!

Well I bet my day was more interesting than yours. We had lunch with a dozen prisoners in the local jail. (No, we really did!!)A very humbling experience to say the least. I travelled in the back of a truck along something very frightening called a "freeway", to something called a "mall" and was told to shop - so that's what I did. Handbags, shoes the lot. Wonderful!!
The prison visiting was something not to be missed. Met some very unusual but very interesting people , but I'll let Chris tell you about that. Just remembered it's Chris' blog.
We're out with the Chaneys for breakfast tomorrow. They are lovely folk and some of you will remember them when they visited Crewe in the Summer.
We move house tomorrow, Thanksgiving on Thursday and then more shopping on Friday I believe. Life's hard!!

The weather here at the moment is great. Had breakfast this morning with Lynn and Matt Chaney at Franklinville Restaurant. Had gravy with my eggs!!!!
Food is quite interesting, but not as interesting as yesterday when we had lunch in jail! I know David you were probably hoping they kept us, but they didn't - our reputation hasn't reached this far yet!
It was a very humbling experience, i was a bit apprehensive at first but wouldn't have missed it for the world. The guys we met were an interesting bunch. Terell said he had made a deal with God and he ain't gonna back out of it. God kept his side of the bargain and he is gonna keep his.
Yeah, you guessed it i wanted to cry, but held back!
We are moving to Ambers house today for a couple of days, and hopefully going shopping with Lynn this afternoon to the 'black and decker' store for ladies!!

The shopping I could certainly handle... the prison visiting? Eek. Well done you two! I thought when Kat and Charlee were there it was all pool parties and horse riding... ;o)

(By the way, what is it with your family and things getting locked when they shouldn't be? Tee hee!)

Hi Faith
We miss you all too, today is thanksgiving day and we are going over to the church in a little while to have dinner with Doug and all his family. I think there will be just over 20 of us!! It is a big turkey.
Don't worry Mo we will be back to help, wouldn't miss it for the world.
We are staying with Amber and Kenneth, and they have two gorgeous boys Preston and Joshua, they are lively boys but so nice. They are a real nice family and made us feel so very welcome.
