Well, I've just came back from the first Re:Generation service, and in my eyes, it was more than a success.
We had about 20 people here, partly due to the football match (England's playing), but the small number of people turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
We opened with our band playing four worship songs - Lord I lift your name on high, Better than life, Here I am to worship, and Light of the world. After this, our prayer leader lead us in prayer, where our congregation had the opportuniy to ask for people or situations to be prayed for. After this I introduced the series of services, which I've called Knowing God, and then went on to talk about tonight's theme - Knowing God's Nature.
What we planned to do after that, was split into smaller groups, of around 6-8 people, and have a group leader to lead and direct the conversation in each group. Because of the small number of people who turned up however, I thought it would be best to have one large group for the first service. This went well, and the discussion actually went on for longer than the allocated 20 minutes! We then closed with a song by Casting Crowns - Who am I?.
There were a few things which went wrong, including the lyrics not being displayed through the projector, me not being able to memorise what I was going to say, due to lack of time, and also underestimating the time needed to set up. However, two people who had never set foot in a church before came, and from what I saw and heard, enjoyed the service, and will come back next time, so in my eyes, it was more than a success!
Because I know the people who mainly read this, thank you to everybody who has prayed for either Re:Generation, or me, God was really in this, and I'm sure will continue to be.
I'll be adding a sound clip to this post tomorrow, after I've had time to edit and post it.

Chris, in the words of The Four Seasons (ask your mother) Oh What a night!!
Brill, really enjoyed it, so did David and Roy and I think everyone else there too!
Thought it was a good idea to meet as one large group, it gave everyone a chance to meet everyone else. It was sooooo good to see Carole and Matthew there, and they certainly said they enjoyed it and will come back. So even if only Carole and Matthew turned up and no one else it was worth it. You got the message across to two people who may not have heard it before and you did it with such confidence, God was really working through you last night. I thought the discussion went well too, it makes it more interesting when thoughts differ, after all God made us all individually.
We can go over the little blips, with God's help - and help He will. I am almost as proud of you as He is.
Love Ya :o)
Hi Mother Mary, Doug and Amber
Well ..... The boy did good!
So proud of him. I don't know what God has got planned for Chris, but i think it is going to be very exciting!!
Give our love to everyone, I still miss the peace, quiet and Spirit of Grays Chapel.
God Bless
Chris,
I am thrilled to read what God is up to with you and the leaders of Re:Generation! I praise God for giving you everything you needed and for sending people who had not been to church! You were in my thoughts and prayers all day yesterday and I feel like a proud mother. Keep on trusting that God will give you what you need each day and press forward as God uses all of you to Lift Him Up!
Much love to all of you,
Amber
Now you both made me cry!!
Thank you both so much for your support.
Pat - you're the absolute best Godmother our boys could wish for.

Chris, can't wait for tomorrow's Re:Generation! Alex is right it will be better - if possible!
So if anyone out there is reading this, please pray for the band, singers and all those who will be involved.
Thanks
Well, what can i say Chris. We spoke last night at the second Re:Generation service about Knowing God's Character. Last night showed what a good God he is. The first service was good, but last nights was even better, it all seemed to flow smoothly, i thought you spoke clearly, and full of confidence knowing that God's Spirit is definately in your heart.
It is amazing what God is doing in Crewe and you are a part of that.
More people too! a brand new christian, and a couple of lads who have maybe not been inside a church last night but who said that it wouldn't bother them if their mates found out where they were last night....... Brill.
Thanks Chris for all your hard work, keep letting God work through you.
Once again, you made me a proud God Mum.
Love ya:o)
Aww, thanks! It went pretty smoothly last night, everybody involved did amazing. Hopefully this time I'll be able to upload a sound clip - I wasn't last time. And your bad habits are being passed onto me - it's barely 5 minutes into work, and I'm already on here!
I don't know what you mean!!!
Chris,

Amber
